What We Do

We design and deliver social, economic-development, educational, community, environmental, and institutional-strengthening programmes and projects. We work with public entities, international cooperation agencies, nongovernmental organizations, companies, foundations, and communities to tailor each initiative to the people and places it is intended to serve.

Our areas of work draw on a documented institutional track record and also reflect the activities we are authorized to undertake under our corporate purpose. This historical experience supports our capabilities but does not mean that the current legal entity directly delivered every project undertaken throughout our institutional history.

Our Areas of Work

Income Generation and Productive InitiativesWe design, launch, and strengthen enterprises, productive units, associations, and personal development initiatives for families in vulnerable situations, smallholder farming populations, victims of conflict, rural communities, and people undergoing reincorporation. We combine technical assistance, training, collaborative enterprise, and solidarity-economy approaches to build capabilities that support sustainable incomes.

Children, Adolescents, Education, and HealthWe develop programmes that protect rights and support the well-being and development of children, adolescents, and young people. Depending on each project's scope, activities may include early childhood education, training, safe environments, nutrition, food assistance, breastfeeding support, life-planning initiatives, and help accessing education and healthcare. This area of work does not involve the direct provision of medical or clinical services.

Community Strengthening, Local Development, and CultureWe strengthen social organizations, community participation, local capabilities, and the social fabric. We develop initiatives tailored to rural, urban, and ethnic communities, including local-development activities, small-scale social or community infrastructure, and cultural programmes that foster community cohesion.

Peacebuilding, Social Inclusion, Citizenship, and Human RightsWe promote peaceful coexistence, social and economic inclusion, citizenship, leadership, and the protection of rights. This work may serve victims of conflict, people undergoing reintegration or reincorporation, and other groups facing barriers to opportunity, to pursuing their life goals, or to engaging with institutional services and programmes.

Technical Assistance and Institutional StrengtheningWe support entities and organizations in designing and delivering programmes, developing methodologies, training teams, managing projects locally, and coordinating stakeholders. We tailor project teams to each initiative's technical and operational requirements and document both implementation and results.

Environmental Sustainability and Ethnic CommunitiesWe design and carry out conservation, restoration, land-use planning, land-tenure regularization, ecosystem-services, and sustainable land-management initiatives. We use intercultural and participatory approaches when working with ethnic, farming, and rural communities, adapting each initiative to its local context.

Institutional Scope

Corporación Flor Naciente does not ordinarily operate as a direct provider of subsidies or financial assistance. When a programme includes transfers, incentives, or similar forms of support, Flor Naciente delivers them only under the mandate, with the resources, and subject to the rules and oversight of the contracting or funding entity.
